How to Find the Best Criminal Defense Attorney in Arizona for Your Case

As each criminal charge and legal case are unique, it is important to carefully select a criminal defense attorney who is the right fit for you and your situation.

The best criminal defense attorney should be knowledgeable in Arizona state law and have a good track record of successful cases (either of lowering the charges, winning an acquittal, or getting the charges dismissed).

While an attorney may not be at liberty to discuss the details of their previous cases, you can ask them if they’ve worked on similar cases in the past and how successful they were.

You can also refer to any reviews left by their previous clients to get an idea of the quality of representation they’ve provided.

To find the right attorney for your case, it’s important to research and ensure they are experienced, qualified, and capable of providing the legal representation you need.

Do You Need to Hire A Criminal Defense Lawyer “Near Me”?

Hiring a criminal defense lawyer from your area isn’t necessary. However, if you’re dealing with criminal charges in Arizona, make sure to hire an attorney who is licensed to practice in the state, regardless of their proximity to your location.

Is it better to hire a local attorney?

When deciding whether to hire a local attorney, consider their familiarity with the local court system, relationships with judges and prosecutors, and knowledge of Arizona’s legal procedures. However, the most important factors are the attorney’s qualifications, experience in criminal defense, and successful track record. Technology now allows lawyers to handle some cases remotely, so physical proximity is less important. Focus on finding a competent attorney who understands Arizona law to ensure the best possible legal representation.

If you are facing criminal charges in Arizona, you can contact our office at (480) 702-1789 for a free consultation. You can read through our reviews to learn more about our history of successful cases and find the right fit for your defense.

Why hire a local criminal attorney?

The criminal justice system is complex. If you are facing charges, the decisions you make could mean the difference between freedom and jail time.

You need an attorney who knows the ins and outs of the Arizona criminal justice system and who will fight for your rights. Each state has its own criminal laws, and you need an attorney who is familiar with the laws in Arizona.

Note: Hiring a local criminal attorney has many benefits. When you are charged with a crime, you have the right to an attorney. You should exercise that right and hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to protect your rights and fight for your freedom. Give our office a call at (480) 702-1789.

You Need an Aggressive, Proactive Criminal Defense Attorney on Your Side.

In Arizona, some defense lawyers are willing to take a wait-and-see approach. If you select a public defender, your attorney may not even look at your case before your first court appearance.

In our experience, the amount of time you have to build a defense is critical. The sooner we can investigate and develop your defense, the better your chances are of achieving a successful outcome.

Pre-trial investigations may be done before your court date, or even before criminal charges are filed. We can begin to negotiate your case as soon as possible by beginning our defense immediately. We can start gathering evidence and witnesses in your favor right away by bringing on board a lawyer right away.

Arizona’s criminal code comes from laws that are passed by the State legislature. These laws define the crimes that you can be charged with in Arizona. If you have been charged with a crime then the notice of your criminal charges will usually have a citation number next to them. You can use this citation number to look up the exact wording of the criminal statute that the State is accusing you of violating.

Most of Arizona’s criminal laws are codified in Title 13 of the criminal code in Arizona’s Revised Statutes (“A.R.S.” for short). So the criminal citation usually takes the following form: “A.R.S. 13-xxxx”. For example, A.R.S. 13-2904 defines the crime of disorderly conduct. And A.R.S. 13-1203 defines the crime of assault.

However, not all criminal laws are codified in Title 13. Criminal Traffic violations are found in Title 28 of the Arizona’s Revised Statutes. For example, the most common misdemeanor DUI crimes are codified in A.R.S. 28-1381
